Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 2026
This policy explains what data we collect, what we use it for, and who we share it with. It is written to be understood: if something is unclear, write to us and we will clear it up.
1. What we collect
From your account: your email address and, if you sign in with Google, the identifier and public name that sign-in returns to us. From your use of the service: your conversations with the characters and what each character remembers about you, your preferences (language, country, safe mode, chat settings) and your activity in the games. Technical: IP address, browser and device type, approximate country derived from the IP, and pages visited. From payments: we do NOT receive or store your card details; the charge is processed by Patreon (or NOWPayments for crypto) and all we get back from them is the status of the subscription.
2. What we use it for
To run the service and keep the conversation continuous; to apply usage limits and the plan you are on; to moderate prohibited content, in particular the filter that blocks sexual material involving minors; to understand in aggregate what gets used and what does not; and to prevent fraud and abuse. We do not sell your data and we do not use your conversations to train models of our own.
3. Our basis for processing it
We process account and conversation data because it is needed to perform the contract we have with you. Moderation and fraud prevention rest on our legitimate interest and, in the case of material involving minors, on compliance with a legal obligation. Analytics rests on the consent you give in the cookie banner, and you can withdraw it whenever you want.
4. Who we share it with
With the providers that make the service work, and only with what each one needs: Supabase (accounts and database), Vercel (hosting and logs), OpenRouter and the model providers used in the chat (they receive the conversation text in order to generate the reply), Patreon and NOWPayments (payments), and Google Analytics (aggregate site usage). Some are outside your country: where that is the case, the transfer relies on standard contractual clauses or the relevant adequacy framework.
5. How long we keep it
Conversations and character memories are kept for as long as your account is open, because they are the service. Technical logs are kept for up to twelve months. Billing records are kept for the period accounting rules require. When you close your account we delete your conversations and profile within thirty days, except anything we must keep by legal obligation or to resolve an open dispute.
6. Your rights
You can request a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its processing, and take it to another service. From your profile you can see and delete what the characters remember about you, and close the account. For anything else, write to us and we will respond within thirty days. If you believe we are not handling your data properly, you can complain to the data protection authority in your country.
7. Cookies
We use our own cookies that are necessary for the site to work: session, language, country and safe mode. Those cannot be switched off without breaking the service. Separately we use Google Analytics to measure usage in aggregate and, if we ever run advertising, its measurement cookies: those two categories are only switched on if you accept them in the banner, and you can change your mind from that same banner at any time.
8. Minors
The service is not directed at people under 18 and we do not knowingly collect data from minors. If we find an account belonging to someone under age, we close it and delete their data. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a minor in your care created an account, write to us and we will remove it.
9. Security
Traffic is encrypted, database access is restricted, and provider credentials are kept out of the code. No system is infallible: if a breach occurs that affects you, we will tell you and notify the competent authority within the deadlines the rules set.
10. Changes and contact
If this policy changes significantly, we announce it on the site before it takes effect. To exercise your rights or ask anything about privacy:
